Communicative Development

Communicative development is the ability of expressing to other people topics that we like, don’t like, disagree with, love, feel or want, at the time that we understand everyone without judging or responding aggressively.

That lets us try to listen to their opinions, putting empathy first.

Why is it important to talk about this? It can look obvious, the action of communication. For some people this is not something important, but we should think about what the environment is like at work, school, in the family, or where I live.

When I think of that question, I remember that I haven’t seen active communication used continually and empathetically.

On the contrary, I have seen how people don’t say anything about how they feel because they fear people are going to react by judging them, hating them, talking badly about them or starting gossip about them.

The process of fear, judgment and hate repeats everywhere.

That’s why I decided to talk about this topic because it is important to develop the ability to communicate our feelings or thoughts without hurting others simply because we did not like how they act.

In that way they can explain, comprehend, or let you know their opinions without talking aggressively. That helps us relate better as a society.

What happens if we stop communicating peacefully and respectfully, and we let assumptions generate hate, resentment and aggression in our coexistence?

We should think about this question and know how much damage we cause when we accumulate feelings like hate, anger and fear, all because we don’t express our opinions and feelings using empathetic, simple and calm language.
